SWARTHY WORD OF THE DAY
It’s ancient word Wednesday and today’s word is shcharchoreth – which means black or swarthy. Don’t know what swarthy means? It’s a romantic sounding word for dark-hued or dark-complexioned. With its English counterpart sounding so edging and attractive it’s interesting that shcharchoreth shows up only once and, then, in the most blushing book of the Bible – Song of Songs.
