sachaq

ANCIENT WORD WEDNESDAY

Today’s word is the ancient word for what most kids hope to do. Sachaq is the Hebrew word for what we consider “playing” and literally means laughing and by implication playing. Unfortunately, just as playing can erode into mockery or “making fun”, sachaq can also mean all of those negative things.

We could all benefit by remembering to play well and make sure that everyone is “laughing in pleasure.”
