SOUL WINDOW WORD OF THE DAY

Most people believe that the forbidden fruit was an apple. They picture Eve taking a big bite of a Red Delicious. The more experienced may know that the apple isn’t forbidden but what does the Bible say about apple? Is the word “apple” even in the Bible? The fruit is in the Bible but apple is translated from words that mean “apple of my (your) eye” which is derived from the phrase “the little man in the eye.” The idea is that you can see the man through his eye or “the eye is the window to the soul.”

Once again, we see the Bible as the source of a very common saying. It makes one think.
