COMMUNICATE WORD OF THE DAY

If anyone ever tells you that you don’t have prayer, tell them to stop babbling. Everyone has a prayer but, funny, most people aren’t confident about their prayers. Funny, many people feel like they are babbling when they pray. Interestingly, babbling and prayer are related through an ancient word that means communicate. So what is the difference between communication that is babbling and communication that is prayer? Babbling implies a careless, unintentional, uncomfortable, wasteful, and one-sided communication.  True prayer is an intentional, caring, and comfortable talk with God where we have the faith that he will listen and, if need be, answer. Funny, prayer without faith turns out to be a lot like babbling.
