SOUND ALIKE WORD OF THE DAY

The Bible is full of sound-alike blooms where an ancient word is phonetically close to the English counterpart. Today’s Hebrew counterpart is “pak” and doesn’t sound anything like today’s word. However, vial’s ancient Greek counterpart “phiale” is a definite sound-alike. In the Old Testament, vial held oil for a ceremony or was involved in the end of times. In the New Testament the use is restricted to a vessel for oils and perfumes. Check it out.
