INTOXAGATING WORD OF THE DAY
Before the English majors send us correction notices, they need to check out today’s word. Replenish is one of those oddly translated Biblical words. You would think it means to refill but it actually means to fill or make full. The New Testament used the word for being filled with wine (intoxicated) when the Spirit filled the first believers. The Old Testament used the word in the creation story and after the flood to describe propagation, that is, filling the earth with people and animals. So now you see how we came up with our odd, new word “intoxagating.”
