CLEANSING WORD OF THE DAY

Hyssop is at the center of many of the Biblical rituals and symbols for cleansing. Bunches of hyssop branches were used to sprinkle everything from priests at ordination to lepers who had been healed.  A longer branch of hyssop held the sponge that would have been Christ’s last drink on the cross.

There isn’t much description given to this plant and its WordBloom seems less than impressive but the verses tell an incredible story of redemption of Israel.
