atom

SMALLEST WORD OF THE DAY

A couple of WordBloom Community members were sitting around blooming when one asked, “I wonder if atom is in the Bible?” In the word went and sure enough “atom” was in WordBloom.  It wasn’t in Bible text but it was in a definition meaning indivisible moment.  The Greek word is made up of two words that mean “an atom of time.”

So where is atomos used in the Bible?  It is used in one place, 1 Corinthians 15:52, “in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.”  Check it out!
