striveth

NEVER QUIT WORD OF THE DAY

King James fans love the “eth” in striveth and it often describes a character trait required for new readers of the King James Version.  To strive can mean to fight but fighting also in a positive sense.  The “eth” used in King James was a way to tell the casual reader that the verb was neither past nor present but forever ongoing.  Striveth never, ever, never gives up. Its a quality we would all be blessed to find (Luke 3:24).
