MUDDIN’ WORD OF THE DAY
Charles Schultz must have been thinking about this Greek word when he created his character “Pigpen.” No one is certain of the origins of this term meaning mud or mire but it is described as the place to which pigs retire.
“After a pig is washed, it goes back and rolls in the mud.” Borboros is not just a dirty word; it is part of an explanation that those who have known the Word and turned from it will be again soiled, dirty and lost in the mire. In fact, it indicates that those who turn away from God will be worse off than those who have never heard the Word. Food for thought when we lay out our daily plan – are we taking time to focus on what He wants for us?
