GREAT NAME WORD OF THE DAY

Today’s word is used in Matthew 12:23 while quoting Isaiah 7:14. Interestingly, today’s word is spelled differently there. Emmanuel means “God with us” and is one of the descriptive titles applied to Jesus. Some people get confused as to why Matthew 12:21 would say that they should call God’s son Jesus when Isaiah says, “He will be called Immanuel.” There is no confusion. Jesus was also called Mighty Counselor, King, and Glorious One among other titles and none of those are his name.

Jesus was God with mankind. Incredible concept. He came like us to reach us.
